Small Group Training

Small group training at the YMCA is a focused, community-oriented fitness experience designed for 3 to 6 participants and led by a certified YMCA personal trainer. These sessions blend the motivational energy of a group with the personal attention of a trainer, offering structured workouts that may include strength, cardio, and flexibility exercises tailored to different fitness levels. The small group size allows trainers to adjust exercises for individual needs, making it a safe, effective option for everyone, from beginners to advanced participants.

This format offers multiple benefits beyond just fitness. Participants build camaraderie, accountability, and confidence, supporting each other as they work toward personal goals. Small group training is also a cost-effective alternative to one-on-one training, giving members access to professional coaching without the high cost.

There is a growing body of evidence demonstrating the significant benefits of strength training for all age groups (improved muscle and bone health, improved body composition and fat loss, prevention of a huge number of chronic and preventable diseases, improved energy levels and mood). These benefits are increasingly important as we age.

Join Personal Trainer, Jen, twice per week to learn proper form and technique to challenge your muscles and get stronger, feel better and keep doing the things you love! Perfect for beginner and intermediate levels

WOMEN'S TOTAL WORKOUT

Be all the woman you can be during our unique and innovative Small Group Training Class designed with women in mind. This class provides an exciting mixture of interval training, cardio bursts, calisthenics/TRX, and strength training. In this format you will receive personalized measurements and nutritional feedback.
