Shower Program (Sacramento)
The Sacramento Central YMCA offers a welcoming shower access program for community members experiencing immediate need for hygiene support.
- Available: Mondays & Wednesdays
- Time: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
This program is open to anyone who needs it and provides a safe, respectful space to shower and reset during the day.
Free Court Childcare
For individuals attending court, the YMCA provides free, on-site childcare to help reduce barriers during an already stressful time.
This program ensures that parents and caregivers can focus on court proceedings knowing their children are in a safe, supervised, and supportive environment.

Free Meals During Summer
When school is out, many families face a gap in consistent access to meals. The YMCA helps bridge that gap by providing nutritious meals to children and families throughout the summer.

Free Falls Prevention Classes for Seniors
Through the support of Kaiser Permanente, the YMCA offers free falls prevention classes designed to help older adults improve balance, strength, and confidence in everyday movement.
Classes are offered at a variety of community locations and are focused on helping seniors stay active, independent, and safe.

Financial Aid for YMCA Memberships & Programs
We believe everyone deserves access to programs that support health, growth, and connection, regardless of financial circumstance.
The Y-Assist Scholarship Program helps provide financial assistance for:
- YMCA memberships
- Youth programs
- Summer camps
- Swim lessons and enrichment programs
By reducing financial barriers, Y-Assist helps ensure more individuals and families can fully participate in YMCA programs.
