At Oroville YMCA, we provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment to engage the interests of all. Our adventures are non stop and our activities reinforce the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

At YMCA Summer Day Camp, we create an exciting, safe environment for kids to have an unforgettable summer of fun. And while they're taking part in unique experiences and adventures, they're also building self-esteem, developing interpersonal skills and making lasting friendships.

Y CAMP PROVIDES

• An exciting, safe community to explore the outdoors and build self-esteem.

• A nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and realize their potential.

• Positive, fun activities that build physical, social, and interpersonal skills that help kids enjoy being healthy and active.

AGES

Camp is divided into five grade groups with specific staff and age appropriate activities. Children are placed in camps based on the grade they will enter in the fall.

EXPLORERS: Entering Pre-K and Kindergarten
Our youngest campers will have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talent, and friendships.

BUCCANEERS: Entering 1st and 2nd Grade
These young campers will experience an introduction to the outdoors as well as crafts, games, and swimming.

PIONEERS: Entering 3rd and 4th Grade
These young campers will experience an introduction to the outdoors as well as crafts, games, and swimming.

SURVIVORS: Entering 5th and 6th Grade
Their summer is focused on the great outdoors, swimming, peer development, team sports, team building, and lasting friendships. This camp is designed to allow youth to be heard and discover what they enjoy through voting and working together as a team to choose certain activities.

ADVENTURERS: Entering 7th and 8th Grade
Their summer is focused around community service projects, learning public transportation, traveling around the town and city and creating new adventures, exploring the great outdoors, swimming, and making memories that are not forgotten. This camp is designed to allow youth to be heard and discover what they enjoy through voting and working together as a team to choose certain activities.

LEADERS IN TRAINING (LIT): 13 - 15 years of age
COUNSELORS IN TRAINING (CIT): 16 - 17 years of age
Their summer is focused on leadership training, CPR and FA training, youth development, activity planning, job readiness, and so much more. This full summer program is designed for teens who want to be leaders and volunteer in the community.

Teens must be interviewed and accepted into this program. Please see the registration packet for more information on this highly successful and rewarding programing.

Monday - Friday; 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch & Afternoon Snack

ABOUT OUR CAMP LEADERS

Your child's safety is out first priority. YMCA staff are first aid and CPR Certified. We are required to attend mandatory trainings on: safety, child abuse prevention and reporting, age appropriate activities, conflict resolution, and positive discipline.

Y-ASSIST

YMCA Memberships and programs are available to the entire community. Our goal is that no one is turned away because of his or her inability to pay the full cost of a program or membership.
